Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I apologise in advance for the link to the proudly bigoted Daily Mail newspaper, but it does have one of the largest readership in the UK. At least online. I find the "newspaper" strangely enticing whilst being simultaneously repulsed by it. But, I also find this paper reflects the overall zeitgeist in the UK, at least when it comes to mental health difficulties.
I spotted this article earlier today. Read the comments. Those that are supportive of this man have been overwhelmingly voted down. Cognisant of the fact that this would prove to be a contentious case, the DM has chosen to moderate the comments. Why moderate them unless you know there would be overwhelming opposition to the result of the employment tribunal which he, incidentally won.

Now tell me how again just how empathetic people are towards those who are suicidal....

To be frank, this article could be republished in any newspaper in the UK, or, North America and there would be similar sentiments expressed.

Society and anti-choice groups go out of their way to limit our bodily autonomy when it comes to suicide, whilst, simultaneously telling us that they really do not want to hear about our pain. The man in the article expressed rather eloquently (under the circumstances), the levels of mental dysfunction he was experiencing and he was sacked for his troubles.

Would any person opposed to this man's right to determine his own existence, have sat with him day or night to support him through the times he was struggling? Of course not. They do not want suicidal people to burden them, speak about it, or attempt it. They want people like this man to just sit in painful silence, grow a spine and deal with it. Don't bring your troubles to their door...or better still ..ring a helpline.

"If YoU aRe sUiCiDaL wE wiLl hElP yOu PlS tALk tO uS yOu ArEnT aLoNe" . If this is their idea of "help" I'd better run the fuck away in the woods from all these sadists who get enjoyment from pissing on suicidal people because they are vulnerable.

They are all wolves in sheep clothing and the moment you open up to one of them you are fucked. This is basically the only place where you can open up without being terminated because we are alike and we are shielded from these fucks.

This is why l was so afraid to talk about my mental health. I put my feelings on the back burner because I felt like they were wrong and would hurt others. I regret so many things but I can't turn back time. Theres only one way to make things right

Yep - as stated above. But because it has such a huge readership, I am drawn to that site (though not exclusively) even though it is more of a comic book.

The paper leaves me feeling like shit to be honest, and when I read the comments - which is what I am always interested in - it quite honestly leaves me believing that the opinions on the DM respect reflect wider British thought which is hugely depressing.

I've sometimes found myself drawn to shitty comments as well. I remember stuff about a twenty year old and they were acting as if he should have moved out years ago and so on. I forget the context for that one, but I believe it was related towards killing himself because of being homeless. His parents had kicked him out and he decided to leave. Of course, their reply was something along the lines of he's not entitled to anything past eighteen and should have been working for his own housing years prior to twenty. I believe that was it? I may be remembering wrong. I try to avoid the comments and the like for the website, but I do find myself going down there to see despite knowing it will be no good.

Yep. This is why I scornfully laugh at any group that thinks they're making strides in tolerance. Its just a ruse. Thats all it ever was, and will be.

Try telling your asshole family you are suicidal in hopes that they would at least stop abusing you. They won't give a shit either. My mom is a horrible fucking person.
