Suggestions what to read/watch?

Alright so I was really into movies and books about suicide some time ago. I enjoyed reading "My heart and other black holes", also my fav movie would be " Suicide Room", classic, huh?

But I'm curious if anyone knows any more movies/books like this. Modern world, including depression or mental instability, emo angst, just the whole package.

I've had enough of reading suicidal/depression books from 17-19 century. Those can be good, sure, yet not entirely relatable. Movies from 20th century are also kind of...ehhh. I want something fresh.

Movies/books about mild sadness, unfortunate glassy events or happy endings do not fall into this category. So yeah.

These are all 20th century films, BUT, they are all pretty damn bleak and real.

I highly recomend you check the manga "Suicide Island" (Jisatsutou). It's obviously about suicidal people and it really makes me wonder what I'd do in that situation.
