  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Something recently motivated me to become a disability rights advocate for people with mental illnesses. For a day I was reading articles, creating informational content and registering for new uni courses to achive this. Now it's the next day and I've lost all my energy and feel super hopeless again. What was yesterday? Is it a sign of something or was it a manic episode. I just kinda feel really weird right now.

Most likely mania, but it doesn't sound bad at all. why don't you stick to this?
And during manic episodes I usually accomplish stuff that should be impossible, mania is not always bad. Just stick to the first before moving to the next one.

You may have gone a bit overboard with all those energy-consuming tasks ? Sometimes a day or two just resting and being by myself helps me to get back up on my feet and pick it up where I left it.
Not even really diagnosed as manic - some ups and downs are also normal in life.
Try to keep going with what you already started though.
Best of luck!

Hi OP I have a goal for this as my long term career hopes. Try to take slower steps.. ok I am aware not easy if a cycle of Boom energy hits, but try to have a steady list of what you can achieve but spread it over a longer period maybe?
Try smaller steps at first or you might head for burnout. You will get a better idea what you can do in a day versus a month better than anyone's suggestion.
Stick with it if you can? One day is a beginning. Sounds like a good plan ;-)

not that it helps. but the very same thing happened to me last weekend.

i don't know what the fuck that was, cause i hadn't got anything like it in months (which is why I discarded the mania option for me), but if you do find out, please update the thread.

Some days I get like this too. It'd because I'm finally to "normal" energy when I'm so used to being exhausted. Then I do normal things for a day or two and then I'm burnt and exhausted for a long time again.

Feeling super motivated about something only for it to slowly fade is the worst. I hope you can reignite the feeling you originally got from it.
