CTB by nitro tank is much quicker to unconsciousness. ( basically one breath). Not that involved now that the small take home canisters are available - and can be delivered. I belong to Exit and have just read the latest (August 2024) update of the PPH recommending these. Not that expensive either. I know someone who successfully used this method…I didn't actually see them at the time but about a week before, knowing her intentions. She rang Exit the night she intended to do it and they informed police next morning to attend her home. It is important to make sure the canister is secured to something so that when you slump it doesn't fall over and will continue to deliver the gas for about 20 minutes, when death occurs. It's my preferred method over SN. Again, the details of how to get it right need to be read and are probably on this site already. It does involve quickly pulling a bag down over your face but avoids nausea, dizziness and uncertainty. Also over the head hoods are now available to buy to connect the tubing to for more gradual delivery of the gas - if the idea of a quick pull down of an oven bag is too gross. That may take a minute or two to unconsciousness as you breathe it in.

This looked really peaceful, and I am really glad we have this thread and documented video. It took awhile, but there was seemingly no pain at all. I am really thankful for this method, honestly. What a blessing.

IMO sn is overrated, but you do you. If you're that certain it's such a good method then me disagreeing wouldn't bother you, maybe you're not as certain of your decision as you want to believe.


Sure it goes well for some people, but it hasn't gone well for others despite following protocol.

I'm not saying it's a bad method, I just think it's overrated. There's no guarantee you'll get the same outcome as others.

OP reported some pain and we don't even know how long it took for her suffering to end as the video is lacking audio so we're just assuming what she was saying based on text, and also the video ended abruptly.

I saw a guy who said he got severe renal failure after a failed SN attempt with antiemetics and SN.

Successes and failures have both resulted after planned SN attempts, it wont work the exact same for everyone.

Some people will go unconscious in a short amount of time, I've heard of cases were it took 45-60+ minutes before it happened.

I've even seen a case where a guy was found 24 hours later still alive and was hospitalised and survived.

Not sure if this user is still active but does anyone know what posts/links this person is talking about with all these unfortunate cases?

I didn't see her suffering, just discomfort. I can't believe she drank 25g, she was conscious for too long and felt much better than in the Chinese video. Yes, they may have drunk 50g, but this girl left incredibly calmly and without severe vomiting, to be honest, I did not see vomiting at all. If she didn't take antiemetic drugs, then it's just unbelievable. I'm a little shocked by this and expected SN to be much worse.

I could only hope that everyone who chooses this method will have the same quiet bus ride.
