When making a thread instead of discussion or poll the OP set it as a question. And then once they have their question answered they click something to say it's the solution. (I'm not 100% on what they click as I don't think I've personally done it and if I did it was forever ago)
I never knew posts could be created in that format, thank you. That answers my other question about why some threads have the upvote and 'sort by' features, with OP separated from the responses, and others do not.
