Nitrite. And yes. It works. So be careful. As little as 2 grams can kill you. But a dosage from 15-25 grams is recommended to make it faster.

I think they do that on purpose to confuse us :-)
It's also possible that they don't know the difference between Nitrite and Nitrate.
