I ordered SN from a polish seller on an auction site around a year ago. I opened the bottle to look at it then closed it again. I reopened it a few days ago and it's gone clumpy. I'm assuming it's taken moisture in. Is this SN no good now? Surely it's not going to weigh properly if it's taken moisture?
I also have received another batch last week from a different polish seller this time it has come in a zip bag with a label on.
I read about how to test the purity, but it sounds too complicated for me

which would you chose to use if given the chance?

I would recommend getting test strips and testing it to be extra sure, it's not too complicated and there are posts talking you through it.

If you really had to use one batch without testing it, I would go with the second unopened batch. However, do be aware that the first batch going clumpy is not necessarily an indication that it has taken in moisture or degraded. It is normal for SN to clump together somewhat, and you can probably just break it up gently with a spoon before testing or use.

I did read about testing it but it sounds so complicated to me I have Dyscalculia i would get in a right pickle trying to figure it out

Should be good . Members reported clumps , so did manufacturers btw (around world) , it's normal . Still potent .
