So I read the SN threat but I'm confused as what I find is either Sodium Nitrite (NaNO2) for hundreds of euros despite the thread saying it'll only cost between 8€ to 10€ or those that cost that much don't specify it's NaNO2 or NaNO3 (the bad one) or what purity it is.

99,999% SN indeed costs around 350 euros for just 100g of it. That purity is an overkill for ctb. In the same store a 97% pure SN (100g) costs just 27 euros, this purity is enough for someone to ctb.
Any SN purity above 95% is enough for ctb.
