SN converts hemoglobin to methemoglobin, which eventually causes hypoxia. Low iron leads to low hemoglobin. Being deficient in iron already makes you more lethargic/fatigued/lightheaded.

If you already have low iron/hemoglobin, would it take less time to pass out/CTB?
