Lights on or off?

Now that I've got my SN and Metos, it's just a waiting game until I'm ready to make a hotel booking.

In the meantime I'm thinking of the finer details that maybe don't seem important but for some reason I can't seem to decide!

So, after I take my SN, should I:

1) Keep the lights on - maybe scarier to see any changes in my body (not sure if the whole 'blue skin' thing would set in before I lose consciousness or how extreme it would even be), but with warmer lights it may also be comforting?

OR

2) Turn the lights off - my last moments of consciousness being in darkness, but it may feel like I'm just going to bed. I plan on buying some cosy PJs, snuggling up in the hotel bed, making it as comfortable as possible

I'm leaning more towards turning the lights off, but curious to hear everyone else's opinion!

That's an interesting question. Hmm. I hadn't thought about it. I'd say lights on, just because I want to know where to yack.

That's a good point actually... I'll have a photo of myself and my partner, and I'd like to focus on that. Maybe I'll compromise with a little lamp next to the bed!
