I bought my SN about 2 months ago and have not opened it. It had been in a sealed bottle but when I shake it I can hear it has gone hard, a solid lump. Will it still be OK or will I need to buy more?

Think about it, schools and colleges keep this stuff for a while even once it's opened and it is still nitrite.
