I contacted the manufacturer of my SN and they say this is normal. It also looks slightly yellow. Store the SN airtight until you use it ! You should do a blood test. Just take a smal amount of SN and mix it with a few drops of blood. If it turns brown, it should be ok. Keep some blood to compare the color.

While sn may cake, clump and harden within 6 months of the
manufacture date, the chemical assay will remain.
From what I've read, it means it has no anti-caking agent in it. Makes it even more pure.
