I want to test my SN with blood just in case.
What is the least painful part of the body I could cut to have a few drops of blood ?

You can draw lots of blood from a syringe. Find the veins and tie a rubber to your hand to make the veins visible. Using a knife or blade cant make enoigh blood for an SN test

I don t have any tools. I think a few drops would be enough just to see if it turns brown

Unfortunately a penknife cant draw enough. Maybe a needle ?? You can source around asking for a syringe with needle. A small one will do. its your last ride, you want to make sure your SN is legit, thats like have meat without your steak.

I m pretty sure it is legit but yes I d like to be 100 % sure. I ve read that someone cut their leg to test it but it doesn t sound pleasant to do. I ll try to make the veins visible and use a cutter

You can use a diabetic lancet or a needle to prick your finger

But it doesn't draw a lot of blood

I heard you can use a blade from pencil sharpener and slash your thigh but I never did that

Venous blood is rather dark and already has carbon dioxide attached to the red blood cells. Putting that on SN doesn't really show much of a color change at all. It's best to use blood that comes from capillaries (I'd stay away from arteries or arterioles because of the greater chance of infection). People have used diabetic lancets which may work but IMO I don't think you can get enough blood out. However, some people can so that's ok.

I think people overlook the importance of proper hygiene before digging into their skin with things that carry bacteria... Including the skin. This is why I feel that before sticking yourself with a dirty knife, pen or what have you, into your "dirty" bacterial infested skin, use a sterile object (like a new lancet, packaged sterile needle, etc) and sterilize your skin with isopropyl alcohol wipes. When you penetrate your skin with unsterile things, and into a blood vessel, bacteria can invade the tissue (skin, muscle, fat) and possibly cause serious issues. Just something to think about.
