Does anyone else here smoke like a chimney? I think it calms me down and helps somehow. I used to smoke less, but now i smoke 20 rolled cigarettes a day.

I've started using a juul recently to cut back on cigarettes, but I was chain smoking rolled cigarettes before. Shit i'd smoke 6 - 8 of them with my coffee before my morning dump
I've been having a really hard time breathing and a lot of chest pain, not to mention the constant sore/swollen throat so I've decided I should probably slow my roll

I tried it a few times, but I never really enjoyed it while sober. It's weird, but I'd love to just go on my balcony in the evening every now and then, and just have a smoke while staring thoughtfully into the distance. I mean, I can do it without smoking, but it's not the same.

Smoked for almost forty years, the last twenty was roll ups that I chain smoked.
The price of tobacco products in the UK has skyrocketed and it's mostly tax.
Been vaping for a year now and don't miss the tobacco, also get a bit more money in my pocket.
When I started smoking it was 25pence for a ten pack which = two and a half pence for one.
Now a pack of twenty is ÂŁ11.80 = 59pence for one.

I do smoke, cigarettes fill the emptiness, at least life feels emptier without smoking if I've tried to quit, I get panic when I think I can never smoke a cigarette again. It's an addiction, and has a negative effect on my brain which I feel, they do not make me calmer but restless. Lungs are filled with smoke and I'm so used to it. :/

I like to smoke once in a while when I drink. Cigarettes are way too fucking expensive here (NY, USA) for me to smoke regularly.
I feel bad because a lot of the people who smoke are poor & stressed the fuck out trying to make ends meet and the cost of this stress-reliever hurts them greatly. I believe that the health effects of smoking are exaggerated in order to justify the crazy tax they put on them. Of course they aren't they best thing for you but people smoke for decades and live to very old age.

I smoke like 10 a day. I always get told off by doctors saying it's bad for my health. When I tell them I become suicidal without them they're not sure what to say.

If I had lots of extra income I'd consider getting a vape so I could smoke inside freely. Ontop of the taste and the whole having to go outside and bothering the non smokers is what made it unenjoyable.

In the past couple of decades smoking became this huge taboo. Like in NY they made it illegal to smoke in bars and in certain outdoor parks (which i find fucking absurd because the "park" - Union Square for example - is basically a small area of trees engulfed by car exhaust. I remember when I was very little Mcdonalds had ashtrays on the tables.

The doctors used to smoke in their offices and hospitals. LoL Whatever the culture deems appropriate, I guess. It's certainly not something I can ever make sense of.
