Should I lie in the recovery position after taking sn? It doesn't mention this in stans guide...it instead talks of sitting in a reclining chair or lying down. Would the recovery position be better in order to not choke on vomit?

The recovery position is designed to avoid choking on vomit, yes. Do you want to avoid this? Vomit in your airways is likely to kill you, especially if you are unconscious.
In case you are not absolutely certain you want to die, right now, please do not take SN! lotallhope has advice on better options.
You can certainly vomit when there is nothing (no food) in your stomach. The acid is always in your stomach, and when you swallow the SN, that will be, too. I'm not 100% certain, but I think the body will introduce other things (fluids of some sort) into your stomach, if you swallow a poison, to help expel the poison out of the body.
I'm not entirely sure whether you can or can't feel that you are choking when passed out. I want to avoid this in case I can feel it.
I never hear the recovery position mentioned anywhere as pertains to sn so I will keep waiting for comments and researching until I decide whether the reovey position is a good idea or not.

@Hope:-) Did you manage to find out anymore on this or have you chosen whether or not the recovery position is a good idea or not?
@Moonicide's SN goodbye thread a while ago, she was laying on her side 10 mins after taking SN (presumably in the recovery position); https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/first-ever-sn-documentation.29734/ Whilst she was successfully, that is the only case I know of out of about 30 SN CTB cases.
I personally might try the recovery position myself, unless it gets too uncomfortable.
I looked into it and though I couldn't find anything I think I am going to lie in the recovery position. A lady from here who passed recently, (rest in peace,) said she was going to use the recovery position after drinking the sn but I don't know whether she actually did in the end. I just don't know whether I am going to lie on the floor or on the bed yet...any ideas? I'd prefer to lie on the bed but...

I think it is wise to ensure you are in a comfortable position first & foremost, given the anneixty & stress levels will be through the roof anyways. If you can achieve that comfort via the recovery position then I don't see why not try that.
I was thinking of taking my SN in the bath (unfilled of course but with lots of pillows) in case I puke.
