The nostalgia wave that hit me when I first heard this theme in game was so intense. I can't believe it's already been over a decade since Black and White came out. I might not live to get to see the games remade or get a Legends Arceus style treatment but this theme still makes me feel alive.

Last year I played Nier:Automata aka the sexy robot girl game. Unfortunately I couldn't beat every route except for the first one because I had to return it to the library. Anyway, Rays of Light/Shade is the one theme that stuck out most to me. The slower version even makes me cry sometimes when listening to it.




Also like the hacking version even though I didn't get to finish this route:

Since there may be a Sonic Generations remake/remaster announced tomorrow I might as well share one of the ultimate all time best nonvocal themes (in my humble opinion) in the entire Sonic franchise:



Now I know some people prefer the Modern or Unleashed versions but to me Classic Rooftop Run in my opinion just sounds so good. It even mashes up with other songs really well too:

Ahh, the Master System! I forgot about that console, it predated the Megadrive/Genesis, I never played it. I played a friend's Sega Gamegear alright, though the Gameboy was my handheld.

Sonic was the 1st game I properly played, came free with the Megadrive.
Ahh, the nostalgia! Innocent days.
