This speaks volumes to me too. It makes me think of how all my energy is focused around my head due to all the memories of trauma in my head and because 4 of our 5 senses are in our head area. Touch is the only sense below the neck. And mind-body dissociation is the most effective solution to dampen the body's traumatic memories, which puts even more energy in the head area. Therefore, as you say, I always feel "heavy headed". I hope you're okay with me giving you my words. Thank you for sharing your art with us.View attachment 208375A screaming, itching sensation. That never ceases to ache me.

I will adopt your drawing for my trauma work, if that's okay with you. I'd like to name her Rose, after one of my favourite songs that came out in highschool, when I had already split into a million pieces after a lifetime of brutal trauma. Here are the lyrics, followed the the song "The Rose" by Bette Midler....that means a lot to me. Seriously thank you![]()
Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed
It's the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It's the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taking
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
That never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose
