  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at admin@sanctioned-suicide.net.

I've been working so hard on my focus and ability to be present. It's a massive part of my recovery because I dissociate constantly which has shot out my mental stamina. I've taken on an enormous exam for a professional credential. It's been sucking up my life for months. I'm taking it on the best I can though. It's 3 parts. I passed part 1 but part 2 is the hardest. I'm doing pomodoro 50/10 which is actually working. Here goes nothing, making it an accountable goal to do a full shift of a study session. Wish me luck. I need it tbh

I wish you a lot of luck. My brain always gets a meltdown after 4 hours studying. I am hoping for you that you are more resilient than me.

I got hour one done. At worst I'll switch to 45/15 if I have any hours where the struggle is too real. By the time I sit for part 2 I'll have read over 1000 pages of text on this stuff. I haven't made it through a single book in years so this is pretty wild. Sometimes it's no pain no gain in recovery and I'm pretty damn avoidant of pain so this is pretty cool for me to face.

That's the whole LOTR book, to make a silly comparison. Impressive. Good luck with part 2! I'm cheering you on!

I'm chugging along again. 1/10 hours done. I'm really dim. I turned that light off. I'm trying to get a little fire going.

I use to be sad like wow, you are really slow. Now I'm more amused by it. Look at me, reading the same topic again and still barely getting it. How cute. I'm having fun in a weird way.

I am rooting for you 100%, as you have the moxie and the smarts to obtain the credential aspect that you mentioned in your post. I am so honored to have you as a friend, who is so smart and kind, go get em!!!

Also have a awesome weekend and great food and drink and awesome weather to celebrate!

Day 1 of 7 days left. 0/10 hours getting started for the day. I have my whole week planned out because I'm neurotic about time management. Just documenting my journey here in this topic to keep me accountable. If I had been on top of this how I needed to be earlier I wouldn't need to cram like this at the end. I might very well still fail this exam. It's no joke lol. My goal is to walk away from that test saying I did all I could do in trying. I won't let it emotionally shatter me. If I fail then I take it again in May. I don't want to have to do that lol. Here goes.

Good luck! I hope you have one of those days where you get so focused on it that you forget the time and ten hours pass like nothing. Don't be ashamed to take little breaks either. That can really re-focus you when you return to studying and pick up your pace.

I fear I may be a bit late, considering how much you may have to be cramming but I'm also a student, and I found the techniques for quick and efficient memorising in Make It Stick by Peter Brown and How To Pass Exams by Dominic O'brien very helpful. If you want the books for free, or if you want a quick summary of the techniques, my private messages are open. I don't want to discourage you from however you're studying right now. I don't know your predicament. What I do know is that the techniques listed are scientifically supported, and the authors of those books are record-breaking Memorisors (there are numerous global memorising competitions) so they know what they're talking about.

That's amazing! Seriously, it's admirable that you continue to pour the time and effort into this despite everything. I'm late, but best of luck. I'm rooting for you!

Good for you. It's supposed to be hard anyway. I never entered university, because anything more than 4th grade maths fries my brain.

And now, back to the 3-minute a day, nausea-induced reading plan.
