I wondered if anyone else sees a familiar pattern.

Since childhood, I never fitted well into the world. I learned quickly that I have an independent spirit. My parents were basically fxxxd up, my father went gaga and mum died appallingly with cancer. The thing is, i have always been.drawn to people like me, empathic, soft natured, suffered from all health issues but above all else, able to foresee the outcome of events ahead almost prexcognition sixth sense.

i took.onboard the chaotic energy of people.around me and basically rejected society for its narcissism towards humankind.

it didnt stop me having a few.good friends and a loving relationship but even.there, something was missing.

I never had children but I adore animals for.they give.unconditional friendship.

Just a thought really on this reflective Saturday night in England.

I have also never fitted well into this world. I think in my case, life is not for me and I am not meant for this world. I know I do not belong here, and I deserve peace which can only be found through non existence. I also like animals a lot.

I too have never felt that my life really fitted in with the rest of the world. Childhood trauma, dysfunctional parents etc. I just wonder what the point of my life was/is. I find so much comfort and lv in animals. I feel truly connected to them, far more than with any human.

Very much the same here, often felt I'm not meant for this world. I'm super sensitive, and I'm a guy so it's hard to really fit in.

I'm exactly the same, sadly. I'm also very sensitive, empathetic and generally a gentle soul.
I don't understand my purpose here. Everyone seems different to me. Others appear to enjoy life. I wish I could feel that way but I never have. I feel as though I'm going through the motions of life. I really wish I could feel the happiness others experience.

I agree with just about everything you wrote. The world demands we be monsters. Consume or be consumed. Essayist Richard Grenier: "people sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." :/
