So as I prepare to ctb tonight I had a thought of sending a small gift to several loved ones, set for delivery in day like a week or two and wanted some feedback on this. Amazon let you choose the date of delivery with quite a bit of time in advance. It would be a small angel wing keepsake, with a card that says "Always With You". I'd also attach a gift note that will simply read the lyrics "Just because I leave you doesn't mean I love you any less. Keep me in your heart for awhile".

what do you all think of this? Or is there something different you could recommend?

I'll be honest. If I received that, I would feel creeped out, angry, haunted. When I was finally ready to move on, I would feel just as guilt-tripped as those who consider suicide, and the healthy desire to move forward in life would be torturous at worst, or I would feel resentful at best.

I think it's very sweet of you to get them gifts. I must admit, though, I might be creeped out by it too if it showed up in my mailbox as a gift from a friend I knew had ctb. I'd be concerned. That being said, you know your loved ones best and know what they will appreciate.

I have left gifts for several people, but included them as items in my will so it seems a bit more official and at a time when they've come to terms with their grief.
