I am choosing this method is mainly for the ease of getting supplies. I plan on going up into the mountains and looking at the stars with a couple of beers and a cig before ctb.

It seems pretty simple. Get a Gerry can of gasoline doused on myself then a quick match and in less than 5 minutes all the pain will be over.

This is a perfect way for me to go since I loved fire as a child going camping. Plus strangulation, jumping, OD, etc. are too difficult to produce the supplies or not convenient since I am living at home.

Planning to do this in 4 or 5 days, still have a few things to finalize.

Why on earth out of all methods this? It's never something people choose because almost every person who does it regrets it. It literally melts your skin away which activates every single pain receptor. That's like being poked by hundreds of thousands of needles at once. The pain will not be something you will handle.

I see your point. For me the bright side is the pain receptors stop working after getting cooked enough.

It won't be 5 minutes. Gasoline burns quickly. You'll end up with severe burns outside and inside (your lungs will suffer too) and dying for several hours if you're unlucky.

Christ, that gotta be one of the worst ways to go, five minutes is a loooong time, i mean burn victims either succumb to their wounds hours later, die by carbon monoxide poisoning or shock

It's too unreliable of a method to try, i would search for other methods

It seems like a very painful method to me. Have you ever had burns in your life?

God, please never do this. I've treated patients who unfortunately survived. I'll never get that image out of my brain. I beg you to reconsider. It's got to be one of the most painful ways to go and you aren't even guaranteed to die. Life after would only be even more painful.

has everyone seen the Aaron Bushnell video? He seems all done and dusted in less than 2 minutes even with someone grabbing a fire extinguisher.

And have you seen vids or pictures of thousands of others, set on fire yet still surviving for wayyy too long?
But ok. You think you get lucky or do it right first time. Sure. We can agree to disagree. It's your death after all.
You might want to do a simple test beforehand tho. Boil some water. While it is boiling, put any of your body part in it and measure 2 minutes. Finger, toe, dick - whatever you don't like the most. See, water is boiling at 100C (212F). Gasoline burns at about 2138C (3880F). So, what you'll experience during those expected 2 (or more if sth goes wrong) minutes will be far worse than boiling your body part. And you'll experience it all over yourself.

Good luck,

It is completely unnecessary to put yourself through that much pain. If you're truly set on going through with this, there are much easier ways to go.
A rope is extremely easy to secure. Any hardware store has one, and hanging is WAY less painful (and quicker, from your perspective at least) than immolation.
Please reconsider this plan. I hope you don't have to go through with this.

Wow. I couldn't even imagine this. I am trying to think of the fastest and most painless death and to consider this, wow, I'd say no way. Can you not consider anything else? Driving to a bridge to jump or hang yourself off of, takes less than a minute for these two methods.

Unless you're trying to make some political point (even then it's a useless protest imo) don't do this. Literally anything else is better.
