Venting scars.

my scars are honestly kind of comforting to me. if nothing else was real, the pain i felt was. you can see it. i just wish not everyone could see them lol. i have a thigh that is honestly more scar tissue than it is normal skin at this point. they're big, raised, pink, red, purple, white scars.

where i live, it's every cutters favorite season coming up, too. SUMMER!!!1!1!1!
my family inherited a nice house on a lake that we have been spending a lot of time at. it has a pool too. but i don't think i could handle any questions from my family about them. i'm already sick of wearing pants in the summer, and i haven't swam in years, and i miss that too. i'm gonna hate being around watching everyone else swim while i can't without possibly getting interrogated.

my leg is definitely attention grabbing. it's very hard to miss. makes me hate that i did this to myself sometimes, but nothing is ever as comforting. i plan on picking the razor back up when im finished writing this too. but at this point, the damage is already done. there's not rlly a point in stopping here.

i just wanna swim </3 i wanna wear shorts by the lake </3 ugh. i don't think id change my scars given the chance though. just whyyyy can other people see them omg :(

This sounds stupid, but is non ironic advice: Go for a goth/emo style, people won't be as surprised by it and will have more of a ''yeah, i dont know what i expected'' response to it. The more of a ''i dont care'' vibe you have too, the better.

I got permanent scar on my lip, backstory is, I had epileptic seizure and hit my face into door. I was bleeding pretty bad.

I kind of wish that too. If only i could see my scars. But then I think, for me, it wouldn't be the same because how would I know my pain is real? Would I be hallucinating it? Imagining it?

I hope you do get to swim! If it's only your thighs you can buy shorts from the male section of the clothing store, and buy them oversized, they're long, wide and should be able to hide scars. And if you have scars on your arm you can buy waterproof sleeves and say that you donn't want to get sunburnt or tanned and that theyre UV protective. You can buy waterproof shorts too, might protect your open wounds from the water, although always bandage and be careful if you choose to swim with them. hope you get to enjoy a swim

At some point my friend who has scars just stopped worrying about it. I personally hide mine just because I consider the well being of others. People still find silly reasons to hate me while I mind my own business.

i do have an emo style lol. neon green hair, piercings, band tees, skinny jeans, the works :p i'm sure that helps with strangers, but i don't think it would make much of a difference with family which is what im most worried about. thank you though :)
