Discussion "SaSu is a death cult!" As a real cult survivor, this is wrong and insulting.

A real cult does the following:

They establish a strict belief system which its members must obey at all times. They lure in new members based on a promise backing up said system. Once they're in, the trap snaps shut and they'll be severely punished (shaming, exile) if they disobey or even QUESTION said beliefs.

Obviously, we would never punish someone for choosing life over death. We are a group with diverse opinions and ideals. We do not have teachings saying death is the ultimate reward. We are open-minded to a wide range of outcomes.

But most of all:

I grew up in a family that was bordering on cult-like, me n my mother were the cattle kept by a foreign man and his insane relatives, this website doesn't seem anything like that to me, nor similar to like, internet cults either

There are definitely some cultish people on this site who seem really insistent on other people killing themselves. Majority of the people on this site just want to be comforted and encourage others not to kill themselves
