Can't post any videos because I'm on my phone, but another Folk-Punk artist that I really like is Pat the Bunny.
Some of his songs are... I don't know... happy and melancholic at the same time I'd say.
Check for example if you're interested "I Want Cancer for Christmas", "Whiskey is my Kind of Lullaby" and "The Politics of Holyshit I Just Cut my Hand on a Broken Bottle".

Me too! I've been into grunge since I was like 6 or 7 years old. Always loved the genre. Alice In Chains, Nirvana, and Soundgarden are amongst my favorites. Deep music you won't find on the radio today.

It's crazy to think that it was the most popular music when I was a kid. Still remember buying In Utero on cassette & hearing about Kurt Cobain's suicide on TV while sitting on the couch with my sister. MTV used to play Black Hole Sun and I Stay Away regularly.

Then everything was systematically eliminated from the culture seemingly overnight when MTV and radio pushed the Stepford Wivesesque, boy bands, pop star clones and stopped playing anything else.
