This isn't really about suicide but I was just thinking about it and it got me wondering, is running away instead of ctb really worth it? I've been thinking about it a lot recently and I just wanted some other people's opinions on it.
What should I take with me? Where should I go? Is it stupid to take my e-bike instead of walking? Do you avoid any man made structures? How do I not get caught and found or arrested or something? And should I take my dad's revolver with me?
Sorry it's a lot of questions but I'm kinda stupid and I feel like I would make a lot of stupid decisions and I really wanna think this through cause I have been really considering it.
It's really going to depend on where do you live and what do you mean by "running away". Like if it's only running away from home - you might want to call homeless shelters beforehand because in lots of cases they are full. If it's running away from a mankind, I barely know anything about it, the only knowledge I have that some cities in my country has "internet maps" that mapped out all cameras. Anyway, if you aren't hiding from authorities (you can technically legally run away from home in some countries, you just need to check your laws beforehand), search maps, call homeless shelters, check where food banks are (some food banks don't require you to provide your identity btw, I believe, I am vaguely remember the shelter I donated food to once mentioning it, but I wasn't fully present with my mind there, so take this information with a grain of salt, you just got to research it), if possible check the places you want to stay in physically, better to buy a physical map and actually understand it, if you'll have your phone, figure out your phone plan, make sure it's not linked to your family.
For the best is to put a physical evidence that you leaving was your own choice. Like physical letter and mb something on your social media (if you'll suspect your family might try to get rid of the letter), because (not everywhere again) in lots of cases police can't do shit if an adult run away willingly as their choice
You can also buy a tent and search for "camps" where it's legal to use it as in some parks you might get police called on you. If you are trying to make it 100% legal way, research gun laws in your country before stealing gun, tho if you are female presenting, you should 100% figure out self protection, as female presented individuals considered to be more vulnerable when homeless
Having an e-bike might be wiser, because you can carry heavy items easier. I heard a tip that you should never look homeless as lots of people loose empathy as soon as they figure you out, so pack some clothes for different weather and basic hygiene products. Also, even if you think to run away and hide from authorities, having your IDs still can be useful. It's hard to get it back when you have nothing behind your back
Also, check if your country provides any support for people with no permanent residency. Research for any charity organization, you might be able to fall under specific categories like "women escaped domestic abuse" (there should be some for different genders and different reasons, just thought about it because that was the first charity I thought of) which i think more likely to have ability to help then some government organizations (again, depends on where you are…. You got the drill)
I wrote down some thoughts, but I have to limited information to actually be given suggestions, so it's rather "cool bug facts". Some people do blogs about their homeless lifestyle, you can search for it on social media within your country, which might be more helpful then a random persons thoughts under chest pressure which probably causes them to be not very consistent within their thought processes, but they fear they'll forget about it once the pain is gone
