Hello friends,

I want to start experimenting and getting ready to hang myself, the partial way. I have belt, and it's quite strong. I've read on this forum that I should fall into the noose quick and hard, so both my arteries are compressed and from there I should keep them shut until I pass out... right? I'm still doing research.

Anyway, I'm posting this thread to ask you people about the risks of partial hanging. I know brain damage is a risk, but I don't know when brain damage occurs and if brain damage is a risk when experimenting as well.

Any further information on partial hanging is greatly appreciated, thank you friends!

None, I reckon.

One thing, however: maybe your anatomy is such that your "sweet spot" in somewhere in the middle of your neck. And if you faint and tilt down, the rope will go up and you regain your senses. But it would happen in first few seconds so no damage is done.

Thats the only thing I can think of.

There are a lot of other risks, too, beyond brain damage. Make a Google search for hanging injuries.

I would recommend finding some proper rope; I've had bad experiences with belts breaking at the buckle.

Thanks for the advice. I may have some better rope in the garage.

Thank you. I better not wake up after that then.

That sucks. I guess there's only one way to find out about my anatomy. If my sweet spot is in the middle, I truly have no idea what to do.

We've had a poll recently:
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/success-in-partial-poll.9785/

Dont get discouraged by the results, it's not accurate, and there's still about 25% who could have succeeded if not their wish to stop.

I didn't expect such a large portion of people not being able to pass out, but I won't let it discourage me. I'll try in a week and a half, when all my schoolwork is over. If I start now, I'll fuck myself up mentally even more and I'll fail school as well.

I have been told before that the best way to do it is to compress the carotid artery (right side of head) with knot at left side of head. Make sure that the ligature holds! You do not want brain damage my friend. Unfortunately I have little information on hanging as few people I get advice from have actually tried it

The carotids are present on both sides of the neck and not just on the right.

The only problem with this is ring around the neck if you fail. If I am using a rope, it'll be with a car and do a decapitation, that way it's over for sure.
Peace

Correct though I have been told it is easier to compress the carotid on the right side of the head (cannot confirm)
