Help Relapsing (Self Harm)

I would like to relapse, the only thing holding me back is if one of my friends were to see it.
This might sound strange, but does anyone have any good arguments on how self harm isn't as bad as other make it out to be?
(I already realize it has a 1-4% chance of death.)

I don't know if this will help, but I know I would feel pain to see it. I know self-harm can be a release, and I used to do it (I have various scars), I know I don't know you but I am wondering if it's possible to talk to your friends? I'm sorry if that's a bad question.

I never thought about telling my friends I still have cutting urges because I'm honestly embarrassed about it.
I don't really know how to approach the topic either, to be honest I have no interest in receiving help.

I can admit I'm not good at this. I do understand the urge to cut, because I've been through it. If you can't tell your friends, I understand, but I think there are probably lots of people here you might be able to talk to. Just posting might draw their attention/concern/wish to help. (Post more. :) If you can.)

Sorrf if i am to late but isnt the chance of dying really low even cutting wrists? is there still a chance to die while cutting arms

i just want to say i relate with the embarrassment so much, i hope that makes you feel less alone. although it doesnt feel like it, there is likely someone out there that really cares about you and would love for you to find a better form of release
