  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

"This state is, in principle, quite typical for a young age. You grow, change, re-evaluate life, revise your relationships with yourself and the world. The old models do not work, new ones have yet to be formed. Any state of uncertainty, when it is not clear what to do next, is uncomfortable for a person. Any transition period is not easy, it is a crisis, and the task is to go through this crisis not with the least losses, but with gains. Because a crisis is a point of growth. The main thing you need to understand and remember for the rest of your life: you are growing up and your life is increasingly in your hands. Only an active attitude to what is happening in life - both in your internal state, and with health, and with business, and with the house (room) and with everything else - can bear good fruit. If you accept the life strategy of a child who expects that parents or the world will continue to give him everything he needs, this is an inevitable path to depression, frustration, bad mood, the idea that life reached a dead end, and so on. Therefore, I think we will immediately discard this path of passive endurance of life as unnecessary. And along with it, thoughts of suicide, because life is not a dead end, but a big, wide, infinitely long road. And if you can't see where it's going now, that's okay. Everything is just beginning.
So, let's get on the path of an active life and start to figure out what's happening to you. You're growing up, your behavior patterns and relationships with yourself and the world are changing, you have other problems, tasks, questions and life topics. What ambitions can you have now? None, by and large. Some desires, joys, envy (someone has a car, for example, and I don't) and so on. Everything is quite simple. Ambitions are when we talk about achieving something serious, not even at the level of "I will be able to buy something", but at the level of "I will be able to create something". Agree: creating is much more difficult and interesting than consuming ready-made. In order to have such ambitions, you need to start doing something actively, as you grow older and grow, master some business, specialty, profession, so that you can create something. You are still growing, you are still far from creating something of your own, so you have no ambitions. This is normal. But about desires - this is where we need to talk. It happens that in a state of apathy there are no desires, because a person has sort of fallen into hibernation. There may be different reasons. For example, you tried to do something, it didn't work out right away - apathy set in. Or what you wanted before has ceased to be valuable. And you don't want anything new, because you are trying to think in the old way, and this is no longer good. In order for desires and interest in life to awaken, you need to start doing something regularly. Take at least a flower, if you don't know what to do now and take care of it, you can get a cat, draw for 20 minutes, but also - do something regularly. Only in this way will your mental swamp turn into a seething river. At first it will be hard and you will want to quit everything. Don't. Do it as therapy, as a cure for your depression. Two or three weeks will pass, and you will feel completely different. Set yourself a goal for this spring - summer, something simple, natural, doable, related to your activity. Even funny, for example, walking in the park every Friday for 20 minutes, drawing 5 pictures a month, etc. This will require work and time, but remember the principle: you really need to do it, you will have to sit down and do it. If you are interested in some little thing or detail, understand it in more detail, read about it, watch a video, etc. This will give you a very good foundation for the future (knowledge base), this, I repeat, is a good cure for depression (in principle, doing tasks on a list and doing each task is a very good stimulus for the brain) and it organizes your internal state. Doing different tasks, you will better understand what you are drawn to, what you want to do, what interests you. But give yourself at least two or three weeks.
Next, you need to get enough sleep and minimize watching short content (short films on YouTube, TikTok, etc.), because the brain gets tired from this (read more about this). A tired brain is the beginning of depression, apathy, etc. Take pity on yourself, take care of yourself and give yourself the opportunity to rest and recuperate. This is a pretty adult thing - the ability to self-regulate. Learn this. And watch social networks not all day from time to time, but a limited amount of time. Try not to watch them either immediately after waking up or before bed, give at least 10 minutes to rest after waking up and before bed.
Also, sports will not hurt. Do sports for 5-10 minutes a day.
But always look at yourself and your capabilities, choosing those things that you like. And remember one important thing - a depressive state is very addictive, and the more depressed you are, the harder it is to get out of it every day. But you will put a period only when you commit suicide, and for now all your ups and downs are just different punctuation marks on the pages of your book"
I believe in you, your whole life is in your hands.
