since my last suicide attempt, ive been making a genuine effort to get my life together. going to actually try bc for the first time in my life, i actually see a future for me. i have a lovely girlfriend, friends, family and im kinda disappointed i let my mental illnesses and trauma get the best of me for so long and let me be blind to the joys in my life

my years of substance abuse, self-harm, and general apathy and neglect towards myself is going to make this journey hard. i have years and years of both physical and mental health issues built up and i know its going to be so difficult. however, i have finally found my purpose of helping my family through staying alive. all these years i thought i was better off dead and that my death would ultimately help the people in my life even if they didnt realize it at first

i need to do better and i owe it to my girlfriend, my friends, my family; and most importantly, myself

Good luck in getting better, this website has a bad name in the press, sadly, no-one in journalism really knows how good this place can be to help us recover from some serious mental health crashes. Take care everyone, you are all awesome.
