Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

they put a male patient in there accused of raping a girl with a bunch of other girls including me. and this was the most lenient psych ward i been in. they let u close bedroom doors at night and gave us pencils. i didn't feel safe at all. and a nurse told a girl patient who then told me to watch out for this guy because we are attractive women. why are dangerous people allowed to live together as a form of "safety".

it's so fucking stupid, i was putted as well with pedos when i went there for the first time when i was 17, litterally next door, with a glass on the door so "nurses can check on me", well they liked to stalk me in my sleep, imagine waking up and seeing a fucking creep watching you sleep infront of you. They are seriously retarded, and i think they mainly do it because psych wards are flooded and they got no chooses, i refuse that someone in their right minds do it on purpose, that would be as brainless as a jellyfish. At least in my case, the doctor told me he hated to have to put me here, and tried his best to change my service so i would be safer, kind doc at least, he managed after one month when the ward was aboslutely flooded and the wait was around 7 months.

That sounds so horrible. It is terrible how people are treated like that. I fear psych wards. I'm sorry that you had to go through that.

I'm a 19 year old "man". When I went to a crisis center a few weeks ago, there was this 40+ year old guy who felt entitled to touch everybody and ignored their boundaries, even the broken and traumatized women. It further opened my eyes to how evil the ego can get. And when sexual entitlement goes unchecked, it can lead to hell on earth. I feel so sorry for people who feel vulnerable to arrogant and senseless individuals, because they ruin love and connection for everyone in society

I still contend that day programs are best, even if you have to sign a "safety contract" every night.

So much more happens under cover of darkness and with only days to staff, programs can afford more staff for one-on-ones.

The idea that someone who has been dangerous to women would be without a tethered one-on-one is inexcusable. I understand that such a person may require the services provided by the facility, but the safety of all of the patients should be paramount.

Plus, sleeping in your own bed, taking care of your pet, choosing what to watch on your own tv - these are all things that can really help.

Well, "Actually, what is a woman?" Would the more highly educated staff tell you if you talked like this to them.

Someone once molested me in a psychward. She was very young. I was extremely scared about her. She came to my bed when I slept and tried to kiss me. This was the first night in the psych ward. I was so extremely scared. I told staff that she did that. I think they could stop her. I was highly psychotic and it felt like a surreal horror movie.
