• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Just because he is not outwardly showing pain, the human mind is not strong enough to turn off the pain from being burnt alive.
Yes.

It's not about not feeling pain, but pushing-through it in order to reach the other side.

Self immolation sounds like the worst method in my opinion. Nobody should have to die such a painful death, we all deserve a peaceful exit at a time of our own choosing.

Yes.

The monk's choice of method was more about making a political point than a painless ctb. Immolation is splashy and makes headlines. By political, I'm not saying that he ultimately wasn't trying to reduce suffering.

Yes, absolutely. And we don't have that, at least for now.

"Power" = the ability to act. The monk had steadfast, unwavering commitment to his ctb.

The point may be that it's possible to tolerate a lot of short-term pain, in service of a higher goal.
