If I can go to America for postgraduate study, that would be great. Plus, as I'm already predicted to achieve good grades, it wouldn't be hard to gain admission as a postgraduate course. As a British citizen- I have a British passport- once I gain citizenship, I can buy a gun & commit suicide by gunshot. A shotgun to the head has a 99% success rate. I like those odds.

I don't think you could easily "buy a gun" just being in America, you'd have to jump through lots of legal hoops and red tape (paperwork and permits and stuff) before you would be legally able to possess one. While you could find private sellers and depending on the state go through the 'gun show' loophole, it's risky.

That is factual, however, it would not surprise me if they have stipulations against allowing immigrant, refugees or non-citizens to obtain a gun.If you are devoted Muslim, just traveling to Syria or Afghanistan and join them. You may get a machine gun. Not offend. I respect every religion, but I don't believe god is existing. I think you can enter there very easy.

Lol maybe we should create an award for the most laborious suicide plan each month.
In effect I did this, immigrated to US, got a green card, then bought a gun. At this point I'm a US citizen (however you only need a green card to buy a gun). The green card process alone is ridiculously long and complicated, and I had corporate lawyers doing most of the heavy lifting.
If this is your suicide plan you clearly are not very suicidal.Perhaps if you went through this process, you might find a reason to live after all? Getting a post-graduate degree from a US university would be quite an adventure and a great achievement.
There are definitely easier, faster, and cheaper methods.
It's like asking if getting a veterinary degree and becoming a vet to get N is a good plan. Surely by the time you're a vet, you'll have a nice job helping animals and life will be worth living again.Last edited:

A partial hanging is significantly cheaper and easier. And you don't need to go to a different country to do it.
Plus even with a gun you may mess up and end up disfigured.
Lmao what are you talking about. You can easily buy a gun in America they are everywhere. Does it make sense to spend a year to plan out a death clearly not, unless the goal is to try life in America than make a choice about whether or not you want to die.
Too many people flinch with a gun, don't use a large enough caliber. I know someone who shot themselves and survived so I definitely would not recommend it.
It's actually not as easy as you think to obtain a gun. But with some determination you'll be able to find someone go into the borderline unlawful area and sell ya one.
Also OP if you wanted one so bad iirc there was recently a huge bust of where you could buy ghost gun kits online. And there are ways to 3D print guns that work well from a vid I watched a year ago.
But if you going to USA route. Could just travel like a vacationer and find what state is easiest to obtain and there ya go. Will have to pay cash and have a decent amount tho

It's not, obviously there are hoops but it would still be far quicker than your US plan. My uncle has a gun and I've looked into how to get one. The only issue may be if you've been diagnosed with a MHD, but at least in the UK it is hard to get a diagnosis so I'm fine with that haha

Only people from places where things are much worse want to move here usually. We have many hispanic and Haitian immigrants. And historically we've accepted millions of immigrants from China, Ireland, England, Holland, Sweden, Spain, S. America, Japan and Germany. In fact every single person in America has ancestors from other countries so it does seem to us that everyone does want to live here.Last edited:

Doing postgraduate study in America isn't as easy as you think. It's expensive to live in America and they will work you like a dog.
Before I dropped out of an American uni to come to the UK, even as an undergrad I was made to do unpaid labor in labs and it was a horribly stressful and competitive environment.
The work life balance is horrific and doctoral students are paid very low wage stipends, pretty much minimum wage in some unis. The amount you are paid is often barely enough to scrape by in most cities, even for US citizens who are eligible for benefits if they fall into poverty. It will be even harder as a foreigner because they will expect you to get by on your own.
The workers rights legislation in the UK is much more equitable, making sure that people get paid time off, breaks, no overtime in most industries. In America those protections are out the window, and every PhD and postdoc I knew in labs was extremely miserable and worked to the bone.
I would not endure that simply for the opportunity to obtain a gun 10 or so years from now when you get a green card.Last edited:
