What are the possible outcomes from surviving SN? Is severe brain damage a common outcome or is it rare? Just curious about what kinds of long-term effects people can end up with after surviving.

I'm writing this from hospital after surviving and waking up from an induced coma from a low dose SN trial run. My diagnostics came back fine, and my brain seems to function normally. There is in theory a risk of brain damage due to hypoxia, they mentioned I was unconscious for 3 hours prior to medical treatment so they were concerned about brain damage. Maybe I'll experience something in the future, but right now I feel fine.Upvote 0
I'm really sorry to hear you went through that, that must've been really traumatic. Did you get a CT scan or an MRI afterward? Have you noticed any cognitive problems? I had a heroin overdose two and a half years ago where I experienced hypoxia as well, and both my CT scan and MRI results came back normal but I still notice some cognitive decline.Upvote 0

I'm still in intensive care, but they say my cognitive function appears fine. I seem to feel normal. They did apparently put me through a CT whilst I was in an induced coma, and they didn't find anything. Maybe I'll notice some cognitive decline like you in the future. They're surprised there's no apparent damage given how long it was until they could bring me back.Upvote 0

Kind of. I was ready to die but couldn't commit to the full protocol and wasn't sure if my SN was real and was still potent. So I just titrated up from a low dose, the symptoms hit pretty quick but I almost died yes. I wasn't expecting it to be that effective so didn't make death preparations but I was also aware that if it was real I'd likely have died (they said I was 10 mins from death).
It helped mentally because I took a "fuck it, let's find out" approach instead of a "this is the day I kill myself" attitude if that makes sense. Spent years being unable to commit to the full protocol.Last edited:Upvote 0Similar threads
