Not even those drive In shady ones that take cash only? Usually in a hotel when you pay cash they just block you from ordering room service snd use the minibar. Maybe try a better hotel if you can afford.
Edit some hotels ask for a cc in case the guest breaks something in the room or steak something thats why.

Go into any grocery store or pharmacy. Buy a VISA or MC gift card. Go online and register that card under your name. You can then use this card as a regular credit card and hotels will accept it. Book the hotel online using booking.com or Travelocity etc.......this way the hotel will not ask you for your cc when you check in because it was not booked directly with them but a 3rd party.

I have been in dozens of hotel and motel rooms and I don't think I ever stayed in one that didn't require at least an ID or a license plate ID. None of them accepted cash.

When you go to the hotel, they will want to see a pic ID to book the room regardless of if you use a cc or not You can use any name when you register it online, people use other peoples cc all the time. The hotel doesnt care about that but you still need picture ID . You might have better luck with a Motel.

The only hotels that will let you pay cash and not require an ID are going to be difficult to find on the internet. Those kinds of places cater to prostitutes, drug dealers, and the homeless.

Your best bet is look around in the worst part of town. And even then, there's no guarantee. I just know of one in a major US city, but the area it's in is bad enough I wouldn't go there alone at night.
