• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

If you've ever seen me, you can probably guess I'm a coward, I've made a few "tonight's the night" threads. However I just wanted to discuss tying a noose to a bridge and jumping off. Decapitation is no problem however I was curious that after SI is done, will it hurt at all and will it kill

So, there is a serious inability to access individuals that have attempted different methods, for obvious reasons. I would do some research. Based on this website:

Hanging approaches 90% efficacy, and jumping from a height a bit higher than that. You're method seems something in between. So I would guess that, if done correctly, you would be pretty effective. Now, will it hurt is a much tougher question. Depends on the height you jump from, the noose, your weight, the elasticity of the rope.

Based on historical hangings, the death would be quite painful and could last 2-3 minutes. However, if you die by the drop, it will be painless. This article below talks about a brass ring behind the ear that would snap the vertebrae. I had trouble finding any details of how this worked. But I'm sure with some research you could figure out how these devices were set up historically to minimise pain.

You're not a coward at all.
Just like most of us, you're struggling daily with life and death.

Leaving is not easy at all.

Whatever happens, wish you lots of love and peace!!!

Hugs,

Matt

I agree with life worn out ! Your far from being a coward. The tonight's the night threads are very powerful as we all step up and support the person who wants to CTB. However sometimes it's that very show of support that makes us want to stay! Knowing that there are people out there that actually care about you makes a big difference in your life.
Whatever your chosen path Em may you always feel supported and loved by people who understand what you are going through x
Be good

I agree with the others, it is really hard to die and it is no way cowardly, it requires a lot of courage to go take our own lives. We are denied a right to die so we are basically forced to try these methods by desperation. If you plan to leave then I wish you peace.
