I have noticed people generally forget about those who ctb very quickly. You might be known as the guy who killed himself in your town. If it's a small enough area.
I don't think people will call you a ''loser''. I just think they will forget about you.

Plus you will be dead so there is no need to worry.

well I am not exactly afraid as...you know, after death There should be no more feelings including fear. But I do think people will frame me as a loser. Not only because I CTBed but because of my life choices when I was alive.

For me, another good thing about ctb is that i no longer need to give a shit about what people think: if im gone, whatever they say won't have any effect on me. There's no social consequence to it.

Either way, I don't think you should worry too much about it. People tend to not speak bad of the dead and actively shush/scold people who say bad things or bring up bad memories about dead people. In addition, suicide is kinda a taboo topic for many cultures, so it won't be brought up as much

How many of us here label ourselves as losers anyway?
Is it okay to call myself a loser but not okay for others to do it?
Or if I label myself a loser this somehow protects me from the labelling of others?

Not everyone gets dealt a great hand, some people play the hand well and some don't, some don't know how to play and have no one to teach them.

To label someone a loser because they CTB is misguided, and honestly if someone was prepared to take that view of me, I couldn't really give a flying fuck, they've not walked in my shoes.

not true at all imo.. (well maybe cause it has been an enormous part of my life) if someone who i love respect or has have a meaningful input to me ctb they are at the very top of my emotional and mental relationship with my self throughout my life. its an ongoing dialog..

my version of success is being true to your self.
and taking your own life is one of the most powerful statement one could ever make.
people that dont speak the same language can easily bs label.. its redundant and honestly fundamentally wrong and just too easy..
tbh i get relieved when people that dont speak my language\get me talk rubbish.. its another conformation that your life is your own and other wankers will not 'save you' and it can help put you in a cleaner state of mind and also give you strength if you can use it to your benefit. x

Can't care less when my life is over what people on this earth will think. Wherever I go, hellish existence or not, I know I'm not part of this craziness called my life anymore.

In the UK at least there feels like a pretty big stigma about speaking ill of the dead no matter how they died, unless they were a right scum bag. Like the local news site has a really fucking venomous user base who comment some really nasty hateful things about anyone different to them and even they seem to manage to avoid saying anything horrible when there is a suicide reported.

You're not a loser. To call someone a loser implies that there is some kind of opposite like a winner... But there isn't.

Life is not a race - there's no 1st place, 2nd place or last place; you're not going to be put on a podium based on how well you lived, or how hard you tried. Life isn't a video game were you get a cool achievment for completing it on Legendary mode - it's not bloody Halo! Life is temporary. Death consumes us all eventually, and when it does? Then that's it - nothing matters. So in a sense we all "lose" in the end.

Not just that, but if anyone does call you a loser then they are probably not nice people, so you shouldn't care about what they think.

I don't really care (nor will have the capacity to do so - because I would be dead) when I CTB. I am CTB'ing mainly to find peace (after living a mostly sucky, harrowing life of nearly three decades). What others think of me has no bearing on my decision to CTB.
