As part of trialing I want to understand exactly what I have to block if I go for a partial hanging. I've heard that people can block their carotids with their hands to figure out placement and test approaches, but when I try I just get slightly restricted breathing even though I feel like I'm putting good pressure. Is there an idiot's guide to this?
