Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

How much weight does the surface one is hanging from need to be able to support in order to not break if someone tries to hang themselves (for partial)? Also, are there any other things besides the rod in one's closet that would work

The anchor point MUST be able to support your whole weight even for psh, to test it, try and hang on the bar for a couple minutes, maybe some pullups if you can. If you notice any play in the anchor point or noises, do not trust it.
You need to be able to hang for atleast 15- 20 mins to guarantee death, you also gotta make sure you wont be found in 30 mins, and the bar might fall during that time. Worst case scenario you will end up a vegetable.
As for various anchor points, you can literally use anything if you are creative enough, eg: door knob, door, pull up bar, and more stuff.
You can conduct your own research as im not that creative lol.
