Hello guys, I am new here.
I have a question about the partial hanging method. Will partial hanging work for someone who is severely underweight (37kg 1.64cm)?
I have heard that a certain amount of weight needs to be activated for it to work.
Also, will it work using a very thin/weak rope (4mm)?

Thanks and sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native English speaker.

Hi there!
That's a good question, I'm not pretty sure about the weight but I think the rope needs to be a lil bit thicker so it won't break? Even with a light weight

Thanks for the help.

I would like to get more answers, because I am afraid that this method is ineffective or even not possible at my weight.

I attempted partial at 5'4, 100 pounds and was extremely 'hallow/empty' from my eating disorder it did work. I used a narrow rope(finger width thick) and hung it in my closet but I wasn't able to make an actual noose so I wrapped it around a bunch of times. I woke up as SI kicked in after passing out and tried my best to not unwrap it but that only lasted a few seconds. I probably could have succeeded if I knew how to make an actual knot. Drifting off into nothingness is surprisingly calming, but it's not for everyone<3

Should easily work, you only need like a few kgs of weight to supress the arteries.

You're right. People are thinking that the method I'd ineffective but actually it's dependent on the nature of the person. I attempted at 180 lbs and I was able to passout and would've ctb if I wasn't rescued.
My answer for the question...yes partial works for any weight. It's not relative. It's independent. You'll be applying pressure based on your body weight which is enough to construct your carotid. So yeah, it'll work

It will work if pressure at least 4kg is applied on cartoid artery.
