A scarf, turtleneck, small towel, not too thick. Anything that can add you comfort while still compressing the carotids

I don't get this method. All that happened was I had red dots on my face in the morning.

There's a mega thread on this website, you should look it up before trying anything. There's a bunch of information about this method here. If it goes wrong, hanging can cause serious damage, such as becoming a vegetable or losing the movement of arms and legs.

It can result from partial hanging?

It can not. Partial suspension has 100% success rate. You just need a sturdy rope, a sturdy thing to attach the rope to, and you're good to go.

And something to deal with SI

Do you want to die, or do you want to whine?

What the point here? Everybody have to deal with SI and you have too. You're trying to look courageous but I bet if you was you would not be here. Stop being insensitive.

I want to hang out with my family, before I die, so I'm doing that.

Wrong, I think I'm older than you.

You'll probably end up getting banned for your poor-effort spam.
Good luck creating another account and continue wasting your time I guess.

I'm not gonna make another account. Too old for that. I will leave an email though, so people who like me can message me there.

I put my email in the signature, waiting for fan mail. Bans don't matter, I got what I came here for(N seller email).

Padding will not raise or lower the success rate that much. It's only needed if using a thin cord for the sake of comfort (avoids the cord cutting) and in that case I would say a scarf or cloth of any kind will do. You want something with some thickness to distribute the pressure a little, but not too much as to not interfere with the compression of the arteries.

Well, in my experience a padding also prevent you to get marks in the case of fail. I will use a clothesline rope, never left any mark after my tests/attempts, and although looks thin, it worked to Ian Curtis.

Hanging is not complicated, there is neck, there is rope, rope compresses the arteries, and it's done. School kids do it all the time. It's not rocket science.

probably depends on the rope, but you're right, if you're using something rough or think padding can minimize marks too.

Not if the rope breaks while your body is trashing around.
