I posted once before, asking about hanging myself using a door and doorknob. While I got good tips, my door is probably not sturdy enough.

There aren't many spots in my little studio condo, but I'm wondering if the metal shower door runner could hold my weight. You know, it's the bar across the shower door tops. (I'd test it, but I won't be back home until Aug. 12.)

Your thoughts? Btw, I'm about 150 lbs. And this is as high up off the floor as I can get.

Not sure about the shower door runner, but I've tried with a metal closet rod, and I'm unfortunately still here. I weigh less than you, so I'd be skeptical if it could hold your weight. I recall I ruled out my own shower rod because the closet rod was sturdier.

Okay, thanks for your input. This really sucks. I'll probably have to try partial, but the failure rate is so high! I HAVE to come up with a way.

Yeah, it's tough. I'm sorry. I wish we had better options.

I do, too. I feel desperate to ctb.

Just came up with yet another hanging plan, since I keep having to scrap my ideas.

I can't seem to think of a good place either. I agree with beautifulinception about the metal shower bar. I can't see it being able to hold the weight and then having to explain to someone how it broke or bent. What are some of your other ideas?

Are you referring to Lean Hanging?

What is that exactly?

My new idea is this….. use outer stairs, because they're open on the sides. I'd tie the rope around a top step, and do it underneath in the middle of the night. There is one little light but no cameras. it's extra sick to do it outside but I'm desperate.
