Another year came and went, somehow. Birthdays have become increasingly difficult for me in recent years because I can tell I'm a shell of the person I used to be, and I think the people around me are starting to sense it too, but the celebration is always still for that person that I haven't been in a long time. No one would understand that all I really want this year is for it to be my last.

I'm sorry. Birthdays have always been difficult for me too, another year of regrets and suffering that's came and went. Here's to hoping ours will be the last feeling this pain.

oh god...that felt personal - I feel you, still trying to find that older me, if it even exists - I am sure it does...somewhere, somewhere deep.
