Help ODing on benadryl?

I'm constantly hearing stories about failed suicide attempts via pills which made me cross pills out on my "methods list".

but then I saw that there was a "Benadryl challenge" that someone died from. so that means I can OD on Benadryl right?

have any of you tried and failed to OD on Benadryl. If so, how many. I'll use twice as much.

Anything OTC is a bad idea. That's why you don't need a prescription for it

Benadryl overdose is painful and scary, you will hallucinate very badly. Maybe you can take a benzodiazepine or barbiturate beforehand but if you're able to get those two there's no point to using benadryl

I actually wrote up my experience just today about trying to OD on Unisom, not Benadryl but also an antihistamine. Long story short you'll probably puke up the pills before they kill you. And I can confirm the hallucinations.

I would've succeeded a couple weeks ago had I not gotten health. Though I did a good bit of pre prep beforehand.

I took 75 sleeping pills/benadryl and fell asleep. Woke up having scary hallucinations. Had to have a gastic lavage (NOT FUN) and then I was sectioned.

That's an interesting read, thanks for opening up and sharing your experience. I'm sorry you received no real support after that happened to you.

Your experience at the hospital is something I relate to. I had a kind of similar experience 13 years ago. 18 years old and took all the celexa I had stashed. The emts laughed at me and the doctors were irritated. The medical community doesn't seem to like suicides. Apparently it's a headache case they would rather not deal with.
