Nuclear war is my worst nightmare, brought up with art and images of this through out my life, its a trigger for me, and a very small part of why I have CPTSD, (my mother thrived on the thought of end of the world/nuclear war shit)

Like some of you I find end of the world scenarios a comforting diversion at times. If it could be quick and painless? Sure. Who would care or regret it? there's no you any more to feel anything. Problem of inevitable suffering, illness, old age and death? Gone in one fell swoop. So yeah it's a delightful fantasy but my next thought is ' I should be so fucking lucky' it won't happen.
