• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Anyone else have a very hard time not having your emotions manifest in your facial expressions and mannerisms? It's been too many times that I've been unable to stifle snickering like a muppet in public from thinking of something asinine. A lot of the time it can be induced just by thinking of the fact that laughing at that moment would be silly. Probably makes me very unattractive to women.

I've had a long-standing issue with my affect and don't really emote by default.
After some time, I have learned to emote, but only with the lower half of my face. My eyes and eyebrows basically never move from their default positions. I'll have a chipper tone of voice and vocal mannerisms, but be visibly frowning or neutral with dead eyes and neutral eyebrows.

Do you think it affects how people treat you?

There are a wide variety of social, physical, and emotional idiosyncrasies that determine how people treat me already. It'd be hard to pinpoint specifically how my facial movements would factor into that. I just wear a face mask whenever I can.

I'm not a subtle person and generally have a hard time hiding how I feel, if that's what you're asking. When I was about to attempt it was obvious to pretty much everyone who saw my face that something was wrong. Two people, one of which was a total stranger, even figured out that I was actively suicidal. I wish I was able to mask more but I can't.

People are less good at reading me than it seems. Still I've become worse at hiding emotion since leaving school. The harshness of school trained me to mask, but years of being alone has made me used to not needing to.
