I have room for a full suspension but i also seen some recommendations for partial hanging and so I been on the fence about both.

I do not have rope, but i have a cable possibly good enough to fit the bill and i believe there have been cases were people may have used scarfs or pillow cases so I'm curious if anyone knows info about using stuff like that?

Sorry, if this isn't very helpful.. but i used a belt to try before once in the past and it almost worked, i panicked however and pulled it off before i passed out from lack of oxygen. It kinda hurt too btw, also i had used a t-shirt to wrap around my neck so it wouldn't be as bad.

Yeah cable or scarf would work or a belt, bet sheets, towels, clothing, electrical cords like a phone charging cord for example you can measure everything yourself so just cut it to the length and thickness you wish I'd say 5-8cm is ideal

I'm definitely replying very late, but I assume the soft materials like a sheet/scarf would hurt less correct? not sure about effectiveness though.

I've somehow seen someone succeed with jeans and another with a bathrobe belt. I'd just make sure it's not too thick and not too weak.

Anything that can hold your weight will do the trick. A robe belt is pretty good imo

You can't buy a rope?

I could but the problem is my package getting intercepted by a family member or what not, its happened here or there where one person opened my packages out of volition. So i need to properly plan before buying anything. At the moment i wanted to look at rope alternatives now incase i really wanted to go through with it early. But if you have any suggestions for rope please let me know!

Last time i checked, i believe 1/2 rope exactly was the sweet spot but i could be wrong.
