That site is an old .onion website, which happens to also be called SS. As far as I'm aware, it has no relation with this site (though I find that a bit hard to believe). I'm not sure if the site currently still exists.

I doubt the article was talking about that site, as it mentions SN (not really a thing in 2015), it shows a picture of the modern SS icon, and the article was posted just a few days ago.
