Not fear mongering here, but that's what she said. That it's the first organ to shut down. There hasn't been any reported cases I've seen where this happened to someone who survived SN.

Can someone without a bias to save others explain their understanding of how SN works? Doesn't it just cause hypoxia and you pass out within minutes and die within hours? I've always been curious about what you feel during those hours you're passed out. Is it like a coma where you can feel and hear but can't move? Or is it totally unconscious

You're totally unconscious and don't feel anything, if you somehow wake up it's like being half asleep and half awake so you probably won't even remember anything

probably not immediate. The good news, those who survived it with methelyne blue rarely have brain damage... but if revived juuuust before death, it's a possibility... because the brain isn't destroyed in milliseconds, but maybe minutes without blood oxygen. The delay between ingestion and loss of usable blood O2 is probably longer than time from brain damage to death.

When passed out, one doesn't have feeling afaik.

The brain eventually does get damaged and die. Hence, well..death. But it's not immediate although it's a fast process there is a chance of being revived after losing consciousness and make it out without any long term damage. It's what survivors here or on medical journals indicate. Unconsciousness =/= brain damage.

It could be an issue even with N. You stop breathing. Your brain lacks oxygen and starts dying. If you are assisted and resuscitated after the cell dying process started, you might as well survive with brain damage. This could be an issue with hanging and other methods.
Now, I don't know if the sole fact of having SN in your blood would cause some sort of damage to your neurons. It seems that many people recovered fully, but...
