from one disordered person to another, this pains me to read. if your goal is to lose weight then not drinking enough water is counterproductive as dehydration can cause water retention, as contradictory as that may sound — water weight is a very real thing. it's especially important to stay hydrated during a fast as you're missing out on the additional water content that comes with food, meaning that you should be drinking more.
i condemn sharing weight loss tips to anyone who struggles with an eating disorder, but in this case it's almost as if you're setting yourself up for failure and i'm going to excuse myself for saying all of this in the name of harm reduction. obviously, i have no power or control over you or your actions, but i just thought i'd give you my thoughts on this. i hope you'll be safe <3

(no idea why this got formatted so weirdly and i hope this edit fixes it lol)

There is no way to safely lose that much weight in 2 weeks. There is nothing wrong with not being able to fit into an XS. Hell, clothes sizing is completely arbitrary anyway, hence why a Westerner who wears an XS might have to wear a size M if they were to buy clothes from somewhere in East Asia. That's not even getting into how something labelled as XS by one brand might be labelled as S by another brand despite the two clothing items being around the same size. I know that this post likely isn't going to mean much, but I feel like this needs to be mentioned.

There is no way to lose 20 lbs in 2 weeks without drastic effort and even if you somehow accomplished it (though I would assume that the chances of this even being successful are slim), you will likely not feel good afterwards.

i'm sorry that you are going through this and i wish things were better so you didn't feel like you had to consider such drastic measures. as a previous commenter said, the way you plan this sets you up for failure. i know it's not easy to quit self harming behaviors cold turkey, but what you've written out is extremely difficult to maintain, and even if you manage to maintain it, that still wouldn't hit the goal amount that you want. it would inevitably lead to failure, which would justify to your mind that you "deserve" even worse treatment. i say this without judgment as i too struggle with an ED- please try to minimize the amount of damage you are doing to yourself

for example, the laxative abuse. you could destroy your stomach for life and end up with a bag attached to you 24/7. you could get any number of diseases that make it incredibly difficult for you to ever properly use the bathroom again. this would be extremely physically painful, costly, and even if we use the distorted thinking of an ED, it wouldn't help you to lose that much either

i understand this won't make you quit cold turkey but you don't have to hurt yourself this badly either. i hope life gets better for you

It's true, clothing sizes are never consistent. Even if it's the same brand the sizes can be different or just plain mislabeled at the factory. So just because it says XS does not mean it's the same size you're used to wearing.

Also clothes will shrink over time, so just because it fit a few days ago doesn't mean it will fit the same after washing and drying it.

Been there done that. You'll just be losing water weight mainly which will easily be gained back when you start eating again. Lax abuse is pointless too. How long did it take you to gain 20 lbs? I doubt two weeks. Just lose it slower around 3 months or so.
