Hi all,

This is my current plan for CTB. No date in mind as of yet.

1) 8am - Light meal of say bread and banana or cereal etc - No more food after this - Take 1 tablet of Prochlorperazine, 1 tablet of Propranolol
2) 2pm - Last 200ml glass of plain water, Take 1 tablet of Prochlorperazine, 1 tablet of Propranolol - No more water after this
3) 7pm - Take two tablets of Zapain Co-codamol and two tablets of ibuprofen with minimal water
4) 7.30pm - Take 3 tablets of Prochlorperazine and Double dose of Antacids like Rennie or Gaviscon
5) 8pm - Take 1 50ml glass 25g SN mixed with plain water (prepare 2 glasses at the same time and have the second ready in case you vomit)
6) Lie down comfortably on the bed sitting up so you do not fall and make noise if you faint etc. Have a bin nearby in case you vomit. If you do vomit within say 15 minutes immediately gulp down the second glass of SN solution.

i have a few questions.

1 - do i need to fast for 12 hours or can i reduce it to 8 possibly 7 as i would really struggle with the 12. I would ensure i ate a light meal if the timing can be reduced.

I have managed to get Prochlorperazine. Is it worth seeing if i can meto?.

Thanks

Genuine question: It's the day of your death that you're planning here and you're worried about being hungry? Why?

I have seen that some people do the fast 8hr or even 4 hour before. However, risks come with that. It also depends how light the meal is and ones body response.

You could try a high glucose drink like Lucozade, definitely a safer option

What risks are you reffering to? Vomiting? It would be a very light meal like i say cereal or bannana on toast

In which case would i be better off fasting for the 12 hours and just having a lucozade drink 8 hours prior to help with the hunger then?

I think 8 hours of fasting is enough. even in stan's guide he mentions that it can be less fasting time if you normally feel your stomach empty in less time. And most of the farewell threads I've read have been fasting for 8 hours. However, if you feel comfortable with 12 hours, you can do so and drink the drink that they mention 8 hours before.

from my experience, consuming sugar causes blood sugar to become very unstable, and possibly drop very low afterwards - I would eat something like brown bread, high in fibre, slow digesting, with protein that slows down it's abortion even more so, if blood sugar is a big issue, and low blood sugar can cause panic attacks - tuna sandwich or something similar
